In this article, I will explain how to perform a repair operation on Redmi Note 14 4G (Tanzanite) devices using the Temp Root method without erasing user data.
1. Initial State of the Device
When I received the device, it was running HyperOS 2 (OS2).
I first performed the Temp Root process and then the repair operation. Although the repair appeared to complete successfully, the serial numbers were not visible on the device, and the operation did not yield the desired result.
2. Meta Mode Check
Next, I attempted to "Read Info" via Meta Mode. However, since the Meta Mode function does not work on the OS2 version, I was unable to retrieve the necessary information from the device.
At this point, the solution was to update the device's software to HyperOS 3 (OS3).
3. Operation on OS3
After updating the device to OS3, I performed the Temp Root process again.
Then, I executed the ADB Repair operation. The process completed successfully, but the serial numbers were still not visible at this stage.
4. Final Step and Successful Repair
As shown in the images, I first performed the "Read Info" operation via the Meta Mode section while the device was powered off.
Then: I applied Temp Root to the device and executed the ADB Repair operation. The repair process completed successfully.
Conclusion
As a result of this procedure, the repair operation on the Redmi Note 14 4G (Tanzanite) device was successfully completed without erasing user data.
The key point is that, because Meta Mode does not function on OS2, the process had to be continued on OS3, and the final steps required the sequence of Read Info → Temp Root → ADB Repair via the Meta Mode section while the device was powered off.
