Samsung Combination Firmware – What It Is and Why It’s Used

Samsung Combination firmware is a special service (engineering) firmware released for Samsung Android devices. It is mainly used by technicians and developers for testing, diagnostics, and repair purposes.

What is it used for?

  • Hardware testing and device diagnostics
  • Checking IMEI and baseband status
  • Troubleshooting bootloop issues
  • Verifying binary (U) version
  • Service-level maintenance operations
Combination firmware boots into an engineering mode instead of the normal Android system. It is not intended for daily use, and some features like camera or WiFi may not work properly.
